I think the word comes from ancient Greek, meaning 'Burnt offering' or something.
There was a Hollywood mini series in the 70s called Holocaust,it was a big hit in America, this brought the word into popular usage.
The jewish word for the Holocaust is Shoah.

He actually went a little further, his posts were deleted (as were a few of mine) and the thread disappeared. Then we got the taunts by our left leaning friends to provide evidence. A fair bit of evidence has been provided this week, they wont recognise it.

Regan & Carter (not the presidents) said something quite succinct about a week ago or less, something along the lines of how the hard left love antisemitism because it allows them to be racist whilst hiding behind what they see as a cloak of self righteousness, something like that, and it struck me he was absolutely bang on the money.

I was searching for some of JohnD's famous Karen from Facebook's posts on the Zion thread recently, I stand to be corrected, but I suspect he's deleted them all, I couldn't find any.

He does that. He once started a conversation with me, not sending an alert like the mods do, warning me about something I’d posted and telling me I could be banned. It was written in a style intimating that he would personally be banning me. When I started a thread telling everyone about it and asking if he was a mod, the thread was quickly deleted, as was the content of his (one sided) conversation with me.

What happened in WWII should never be forgotten, and it never will be forgotten. But in context, Musk's comment “Children should not be guilty of the sins of their parents, let alone their great grandparents,” is difficult to object to.

You know where I stand with my sympathies and I don't find it objectionable, Germany has paid billions in reparations to Israel, as far as I know they're still paying, they also bear a huge national guilt, I don't think their children and their children's children should carry on bearing that guilt.
The 6 million should be commemorated and remembered, and left at that.
