The more recent TG30 chart might suggest it hit a trough in September, and is now climbing out.
It's the same chart - mine was yesterday!.
It does depend what time frame you use, especially if you're trying confirm a bias.

Same chart again:

The dotty line is pretty much parallel to the CSH2 line , so it would be a wash over that period barring the tax aspect. It would be of slight benefit to set a limit order to catch a dip. Spreads are quite narrow.

But why the dip in September? Well that did coincide with anticipation of the FED upping their rate. Big money can invest anywhere.
Or, it could be said, it coincided with the B of E hiking the rate next week, rather early.

The expected dip works out to be roughly
-(duration x change in yield), so if d were 3.85 years and Δ is 0.25% (..other things cancel out)
that predicts 0.96%.

If it's all factored in already then we may see little or nothing. It's November 5th
But so it could be prudent to hold any proposed swap over from CSH2, for a few days.

Or, if Bailey DOESN'T make the rate rise, then the price could rise.
The price isn't just calculated by a bot, it's manipulated by evil suits.
Probably with bowler hats.

I sometimes watch coin shop videos on YouTube, they are mainly American. Earlier this year, or the back end of last when silver was at an all time high, someone came in and bought $100,000 of silver Eagles (1oz silver coins) . The owner did try and talk them out of it. I bet they wish they had listened.
I dip in to Aussie Gold hunters sometimes. They get excited about the high prices.
I bet when the gold price peaked, sales of detectors rose a tad.
I have to admit, finding a bit of gold was quite fever-inducing. Partly because it's pretty, I think.
Aussies have metal detectors like we have exercise bikes - lurking.

Also I inherited a plate made of sterling silver. Nobody alive cares about it so I guess I'll pick my moment and a scrapper. Weighs about 1kg.
