Is the British car industry going to die?

Where's the vid for that one? I'm especially interested in the robot that can work on the usual building site.

Nonsense. That bricklaying the robot is turning out is both slow and crap.

It's a capability, sure it may not be so good now, but anything and I mean anything that can be reduced to data, can be done by a robot.

Traditional site? Who said anything about a traditional site, you don't adapt a robot for a crappy building site, you adapt the site to be robot friendly.

However fret not, if it happens won't affect you or I.

Prtobably long before that. Apart from a few badly built stupidly expensive "specialist super cars" which 99.999% of the UK population cannot afford, we haven't had a "british" car industry for a long long time.
Nonsense!
Not necessarily cars, but there are many companies building vehicles in this country.
Watch the Top Gear episode about it:

Um, all the food the rest of the planet produces... There are countries out there with farms the size of Wales

We do big farms, obviously as small country cant have endless huge fields but we can do high tech big agri operations

Thanet earth for example

How does bricklaying fit into your modern Britain?
Plastering?
Joinery?
Any other 19/20th century activities you think the British are too modern to endure?

Well, until recently we could rely on Eastern Europeans to do mundane, dead end jobs like spreading muck on walls and sticking bricks together.

Without them, maybe your day will come again, Nausey.

Who will look after the frail pensioners who retired to the sunny corners of rural Britain?

Devon, for example?

Maybe the more active oldies could work as care assistants.

There are loads of car manufacturers in the UK

Probably more in the UK than any other country in the world ;)

Lowest birth rate on record, excellent news, bringing up family has become ever more expensive.

Its all going to plan.

That's the problem - the government is risking killing it!

Anyway, we rank about 11th in the world for car manufacturing, just in front of Iran and behind Mexico.
