Is the system easy to install by direct replacement of a texecom veritas r8 and is it any good?

Edit- is it true that you need an engineer access only manual to install it and that it's not a diyers system?

The Veritas is a low end of the Texecom range of panels.
Generally percieved as a DIY panel because of its relative ease to purchase.
As with any panel you will need to enter engineers to programme it.
However it does come set up with defaults so if wired correctly could be fitted out of the box.
Zone 1 entry
Zone 2 walk thru
rest as Guard (instant alarm)

The panel is good for what it does. Being the lower end of the range.
Most issues stem from people not changing standby battries often enough ( 3-5 yrs).
It is easy enough to programme though.
