Hospital trust guidelines are that they are supposed to offer reduced parking charges for long term patients, such as cancer sufferers. Just a lot don't.
And interestingly Wales are going to scrap all hospital charges.

I guess the problem where I live in the South of England is that parking everywhere is limited. If they offered free parking around here then cars would be left there all day and patients and visitors wouldn't be able to get anywhere near. It's bad enough with paying trying to get a space. Parking charges are a necessary evil in some parts of the UK.
