Isolation Valves

Just a quick question.

Are there any rules which cover the isolation valves for mains fed cold water storage tanks and central heating top-up tanks?

Do i have to use one of these



or can I use one of these

 
YEah go for the second one, are I've got the peglar ones at home, a red one for hot, blue for cold and yellow for gas, they look better and are real easy to open/close
 
Great. thanks for your help, I also prefer the 1/4 valves. Nice idea with the colours
 
Not sure if they are all like this, but mine are the non-restrictive (or similar) type.

Although they are only (in my case 22mm) the actually look much bigger meaning that the bore through the middle is larger than you'd expect. If you see what I mean.
 
I`ve not a clue what you`re talking about :roll: but I suspect you are alluding to some Big Bores on this site :lol: :wink:
