It’s now been made illegal to vote against Trump

Go read it again, that's not what it says. lol, and you're supposed to be the pillar of facts!

The interplay between federal and state powers in the USA is very complex. But on the face of it, the Republicans are wanting to imprison the peoples' elected representatives because of the way they vote. That sounds very worrying to me.

At least they get to vote. Angela Rayner has cancelled voting for councils this year.

In this case, it isn't actually about voters directly. It is about legislators (I am assuming local councillors) being imprisoned because they vote for a particular council policy. I think that is pretty scary.

thats exactly what it says -what do you think felony means

committing a felony is a crime

President Donald Trump's administration has taken steps to weaken so-called sanctuary laws that limit a local government's cooperation with federal immigration authorities, meaning this bill does attempt to criminalize voting against part of Trump's immigration policy agenda.

Senate Bill 6002 makes it a felony for local government officials to support "sanctuary" policies protecting immigrants in the country illegally.

I have been reading today that one of the primary justifications for Project 2025 is that it is claimed it will give more power to local communities and less to the federal government. So I find it very ironic that the Republicans now want to imprison city councillors for exercising that power.

BIB seems to make sense to me.

Imprisoning your political rivals for the way they vote is utterly abhorrent. It is what they do in extreme authoritarian countries. The way it works in a functioning democracy is that any disagreement between competing legislatures is decided by the relevant court.

What's True
Tennessee Senate Bill 6002/House Bill 6001 makes it a felony for local government officials to vote in support of "sanctuary" policies protecting immigrants in the country illegally. President Donald Trump's administration has taken steps to weaken so-called sanctuary laws that limit a local government's cooperation with federal immigration authorities, meaning this bill does attempt to criminalize voting against part of Trump's immigration policy agenda.
What's False
The bill does not include a blanket directive that criminalizes voting against all of Trump's immigration policies, nor does it criminalize votes from everyday people. Gov. Bill Lee had not signed the bill into law, as of this writing.

No one should be supporting policies that are protecting illegal immigrants. This is how we end up in these states of absolute limbo.
