Blimey lorry drivers were being fined massive amounts if some stow away illegal broke into one of there lorry’s and they inadvertently brought them over the border
And people are whinging about this trump caper

OK, so what has this got to do with Trump?First of all, it would not be a federal offence. This law has been passed by the Tennessee state legislature, so it would be a state offence.
As for the rest, I believe we are talking at cross purposes. But I will try my best to disentangle everything.
As you correctly say, the law is now that if a city councillor votes to adopt sanctuary policies then they will be committing a (state) felony punishable by up to six years in jail. I am not disputing that the law is valid. What I am saying is that jailing your political opponents because of the way they vote is abhorrent. And I mean abhorrent as a matter of principle. In exactly the same way that sacrificing a random virgin every month is abhorrent.
OK, so what has this got to do with Trump?
Thanks. That's very helpful.

Good man.Not much directly. I've just been chatting about constitutional law and the importance of defending democracy.
Good man.
Voting to enact the sacrifice of one person a month by democratic majority would be defending democracy then?
If someone tried to stop it they would be labelled as 'undemocratic', and rightly so?

They are not being stopped.
They are being made aware that their actions have consequences.
You could go out right now and commit any number of crimes without anyone stopping you in the instance.
The reason we have law's is to deter people from doing something which is deemed culturally to be bad, unfair, unjust, wrong, detrimental, etc.
Yes, some law's are stupid, but law's against individuals doing things that are bad for society and the nation are generally there for good reason.
Nope. Why? Is he the wrong type of billionaire? Amazing what Google will throw up.Conspiracy theory bulls hit
