Gasbanni. While I empathise with you predicament, you really can't go around asking complete strangers such pointed questions! Now I don't know whether Securespark is or is not your dad. However, I can say with a high degree of certainty, that I am not. If I remember correctly, I was in hospital at the time. Mind you, there was that lovely nurse! It may well be, that there are other members here wondering if they could be your dad. Perhaps now would be a good time for them to step up and say that they're not, or maybe could be. However, regardless of what F & I says, I'd take it with a pinch of salt. I've just had an awful thought. No, it couldn't be! Could it? After all, despite the fact that you say that he is on your ignore list, clearly there is a bond of some sort between the two of you.
As I've never tried using the ignore feature, could somebody explain whether it removes only the specific posts of the person concerned, or does it also remove quotes contained within other members' posts as well? (Assuming that those quotes are done with QUOTE="member-name" rather than just QUOTE with no member reference.)
Am I the only one that doesn't have you on 'ignore', PBC? 
I don't know the answer to your question. If I wanted to ignore someone, I'd just ignore them, not respond to their comments, whatever.
I wouldn't rely on a system function that only works if I'm logged in.
But if I did I'd also ensure that I used the 'keep me logged in' function.
Then I wouldn't have any lame excuses for accidentally reading someone's posts.
It keeps me amused though.

I must say I've never seen anyone have a slanging match with someone who is on ignore. It's like having an argument but you don't know what the other person is saying.
