He’s a Bluarite through and through, as is Burnam. The timing and content of his resignation is an attempt to hole the PM below the water line so there is a smooth transition of power if Andy wins. People underestimate Kieth’s toughness and he still has the fight in him. Healys payback will probably be the House of Lords.

More likely that the timing is based on the fact that he saw the defence investment plan on monday evening and isn't prepared to try and implement a desperately underfunded plan. He's actually put the country and his integrity before his own career.

Did he bolleaux, he is a time served professional politician who has six different answers at the ready all of the time. He. could easily have resigned after the review and the by election but Burnam needed a plausible alternative reason for Starmer going.
