knocking in hot water pipe

I have noticed that when the washing machine is running or the toilet stops filling that there is a clunk in the hot water pipe. hot water is from a combi boler and the cold is on the mains. any idea to what is the cause. thanks

Probably loose pipes under the floor or excessive incoming mains pressure.
