Lamp blowing fuse - in-line RCB?

No I see what you mean, just go to their site and search for 'MCB 3A'. They also do 1A & 2A but type C.

I have a 5 arm light fitting in the lounge with glass shades, golfball bulbs are recommended by manufacturer but have a stupidly short life span, on one ocassion we had 3 blow withing hours of each other and I fitted some candle bulbs and have done so ever since as we noticed the lack of expansion noises. It's very obvious when looking at them as there is very little space between the bulb and rim of the shade whereas candle bulbs have loads of space around them.

Many lamps sold in the UK are intended for the EU's 230v and used on 240v, which severally limits their working life.

I can't click on the link to the MCB as apparently Screwfix have designated this product to be non-essential and can't be purchased.

that message comes from DIYNOT and not Screwfix. If you go to the Screwfix site you can search for whatever you like.
