Thanks for the update - Can`t really say much in consolation - Spent a lifetime in Building ( Plumbing specifically) know a few Good Old Country builders - and yet the City dwellers never come and ask us - Their loss I guess . Maybe Hardmetal might be the way forward for you
The only options IMO are lead, zinc, copper or stainless steel. Zinc should be the cheapest option and it wouldn't take a lot of work to convert from what you already have. I just wish I could stop this from happening. We see this everyday of the week from architects, builders, diyers....... I try to tell them but people just don't want to hear it.
