A raise in wages for lorry drivers. The chippy fitting my doors yesterday told me that since Brexit, his previously poorly paid lorry driver brother has had two rises and gets a £300 per month retention bonus. Several of his mates are considering getting an HGV licence. My builder mate is flat out with work too and is considering taking on another British labourer. I expect other trades are the same. As I said, it’ll take time but it will be better in the future. Forget about the short term pain and look towards the long term gain.Perhaps mottie-vision could enlighten us...
