LHV Debit Card

Since moving my regular household debit payments, and day to day spending to LHV, to gain some interest on the account (4.2%), all has worked splendidly, until yesterday afternoon. Yesterday, I tried, and tried, to order a take-away for delivery, but the site repeatedly went to a long, very cryptic, error. Switching to another banks card, it worked at the first attempt.

Are some debit cards not acceptable, to some organisations?
 
They vary, takeaways are a target for fraudsters because it involves a relatively small payment to test if the card is accepted. LHV may not have the set up to carry out proper checks: did they not ask for you to confirm with a pass code? Usually sent to your phone or email. Using an app is generally more efficient.

I was ordering on my PC, via their website, I used it several times before successfully, with a NatWest card. This time, it allowed me to enter the card details, then as usual said 'don't refresh the browser, just wait' - whilst it validated, then a DOS like cryptic message, mentioning error repeatedly.

There was no verification passcode request.
