:( I have attemted to change the central light in my son's bedroom.
I took wires from the ceiling rose and drew a diagram but on refitting the light worked-but it stopped lights working in two rooms next door.
I may not have put the wires in exactly the same terminals, though i thought i had.
There are 3 red going to a single terminal
One black to a double terminal (other terminal went to light unit)
Two black to a double terminal (other terminal went to light unit)
Single earth to earth lead.
Any help much appreciated to qieten my wife and son..

check the connections / terminations, make sure you haven't screwed on the insulation....

For some reason, power is not getting through to the next two rooms.

Of the three twin and earth cables in your rose, one comes from last light, one goes to next light, and third goes to switch.

The live and or neutral of the cable that feeds the next light does not appear to be making a connection.

il78 has sound advice.....
