Local council inspection fee

My pal has passed all his electricians exams but cannot sign off his work as he lacks Part P qualification.He wants to install some 10mm cable to power elctric shower(s)Is he correct to assert that the council will inspect and sign off work if satisfactory?We are in Sheffield if that helps

Perhaps it's imperial - about 1/2 an inch

While 12mm is about half an inch, 12mm² is no where near half a sq\ure inch! (much nearer 1/48th - in similar fag packet accuracy of course )

Anyway, its a moot point, imperial cable wasn't sized this way, it was given as number of strands, and diameter in inches of each one.

Eg. 7/.029, or 1/.044

Aye, I think I may have dropped me sense of humour at the garage upon finding out the airconditiong system in my car has a leak

(at least kwikfit have that 'no cold, no fee' guarentee on it, so at least I did not have to pay anything to find this out!)

I swear you checked it when you want to inspect the car, you pressed practically every other button in there. Just as well it doesn't look as if you'll need it any more this year!
