Hi there,

Another set of questions that someone will hopefully answer.
I’m planning a domestic ground floor renovation incorporating wet UFH.

The build up consists of:
Damp proof membrane over existing concrete floor
20mm Low profile boards with 16mm pipes - either EPS or XPS 300 kPa - no foil to react with screed - boards taped together and holes filled with expanding foam.
20mm insulating edging around external walls and Perimeter Edge Strip throughout
40MM Cemfloor therm floating screed laid directly ontop - 35mm min above pipes which are recessed into the boards
Then a final finish of potential ARDEX K80 with matte sealer, an exposed concrete floor look.

We only have about 70mm to work with so this was the reasoning.
Will this work? Will the pipes float in the screed? Have I made a huge mistake? Theres obvsiouly a lot more details to it which I can offer if needed.

Boards in mind:

ThermRite™ ProTile20 – PREMIUM OUTPUT 20mm Cementitious Insulation Panel

20mm Tekwarm EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) Thermo 300KPA
