The who believe she's innocent make lots of noise and the general public can end up confused as to her guilt or innocence.

The jury is only made up of ordinary folk listening to the evidence they were presented with at the time.

It would take some new and compelling evidence, just to raise an eyebrow. The opinions of naive onlookers like yourself, matter not a jot in that respect.

I'm not arguing for or against her conviction, in fact, I find the whole case a bit - odd.

I'm saying opinions of onlookers, whether that are 'experts' or otherwise, are irrelevant. New and compelling evidence does.

The case is indeed odd, given that the evidence of some experts have been called into question...

And the recent revelations have not been from 'onlookers' but from respected experts questioning the 'facts' originally put forward or indeed the evidence that was excluded...

Thus new and compelling evidence that should be heard in open court...

So not too dissimilar to the miscarriages of justice I mentioned...

But 'authority' and the medical boards tend to fight tooth and nail if their decisions are questioned...

One wonders if the Public Office (Accountability) Bill when it finally becomes law will make a difference in future, but sadly there is not a retro active aspect.
