LVT tiles gone wrong, how to prep for ceramic..?

I have no idea what you're talking about...forget the bath I'm talking about the horizontal tiled area at the foot of the bath.

Create a completely square framework and then pack it out at floor level to get it horizontal ie. don't try and fabricate it to cope with floor levels etc.
Then your tiling/bath sealant will be easier....

I know that's what you're talking about. I just see that in this photo you posted, the bath also has a wooden frame, mine has flimsy little feet. So I'm thinking maybe I should construct something similar myself
 
I was giving a customers bathroom a cheap makeover and had to knock up the framework to fit the bath panel. Fill the gap between the bath and wall with sealant and combined with the tiles and sealant should hold the bath in place.
