Sombrero

Any runners on hear? we had our local half marathun at the weekend. Peeple dressed as bananas and weerder.

I didn't run this year, but have done. Although i cant imagine a full marathon... how do people run that far and further?

So not many runners? i have a 10k in a fwe weeks, and completly bricking it... 6 miles is to far on a bike, let alone running !!

2001 20th anniversary.
About 1/2 hour

No being serious i drove one of the baggage lorries for tnt.
But still got a medal, So proves they aren't worth s*d all.
Poor s*ds have to run it to get one.

Sombrero - I took up running last summer (previously hadn't run in over 14years since I left school - and even then they had to force me to do it!!) and ran my first 10k almost exactly a year ago. If you've trained for it properly you'll do 10k easily and you'll enjoy every second of it. I managed to injure myself doing it and was on crutches for a couple of weeks afterwards, but still enjoyed the atmosphere and the run itself on the day. I've had a slow return to fitness but I'm back running 10km regularly and plan to increase to run a half-marathon - furthest i've run so far is just over 7miles.

If you've run a half marathon in the past, why are you worried about a 10km?

So you have run a half marathon at some time but now think 6 miles is too far?

3 hours and 26 minutes when I was much younger (I didnt even bother training for it as I was and still am stupid at organing myself). Ill never ever do a marathon again. I have been poorly recently and I dont really want to bore you with the details (sooey will have seen it in the CC anyway), so I swim a half mile every morning and use the mountain bike off road in the evening for about 11 miles. I am in training for a triathlon later on this year and I dread the run so I appreciate your concern. But... 10k? Thats 6 miles. Just wake up and run it, its an hour tops at a slow running / walking pace.
