The process isn't clear once article 50 has been triggered, but there seems consensus that it can be revoked during the period. I don't think there is a scenario in which Britain would have to start fresh joining negotiations.

So I am not allowed to comb my hair in public unless a law allows me to do it.

Take the recent "upskirting" - not actually forbidden in UK so they had to bring in new law.

Anywhere under your system (if true) would not have had to bother, so which is better and does it matter.
On the face of it, I would be inclined to agree. It does make things simple but it does matter if by some means a totalitarian government was to take control of the country, then the legal system that the EU has makes it easier for the government to control the population by enforcing every law... The UK legal system for all the madness makes it much harder to do and the freedoms that this system has over generations has given to British citizens has installed an inner confidence and sense of fair play despite the outward downbeat impression that the Brits give. The European way does seem to be creeping into your younger generation and it hurts me to hear them ask "Am I allowed to do this?" My reply is always, of course you are allowed to do it in your own country unless someone says you can't... You are British.

When was that? When did it change?

So I am not allowed to comb my hair in public unless a law allows me to do it.

So you don't like foreign nationals doing so as they wish in a country that allows you to do anything that's not prohibited. Hmmm so what these foreign nationals actually doing then?
I can think of one guy (I don't know if he is a foreign national) who takes every comment about foreign nationals as a personal insult.

You do not seem to know whether you are coming or going.
I fail to see how you can be Eurosceptic and pro-European.

"
Eurosceptic
ˈjʊərəʊˌskɛptɪk/
noun
  1. a person who is opposed to increasing the powers of the European Union."
"pro-European
adjective
  1. 1.
favouring or supporting closer links with the European Union."
No doubt we will now have endless arguments about the tiniest of intricate details about what the two descriptions mean.
Please continue without me. I will not engage with your silly posturing.
Just post one comment, then you can run around your tiny world proclaiming victory, just because others are tired of your squirming, dodging and weaving. :ROFLMAO:
Squirming, dodging and weaving, what a Himmy thing to say as is 'silly posturing'. I think ladies and gentlemen, we've another Himmy/Walk

That is just your squirming, twisting, dodging and weaving

Sadly I'm not due another holiday for some months, I fancy a trip to my favourite city, Barcelona. I've not long come back from a month in the Carpathian Mountains for some much needed pampering.. Lovely part of the world but quite tricky to get to.. I'm so sorry that you feel that my posts are wasting your time, I do hope that my posts haven't taken too much time from you doing whatever it is you do. If you have a problem reading my posts, I notice that there is an "Ignore" setting, perhaps you would feel better if you used it, I wasn't aware that I had broken any of the forum rules, if I have could someone explain how I have broken them so that I can avoid making the same mistake again. Most of the people here seem really nice though a little misguided and I hope to be here for a long time...With the moderators permission, of course

I think it is utterly flabbergasting that because the government cannot agree on a negotiating starting point, they vote to go home early for holidays!
They should all be sacked!

The rest of the European Union population must be laughing at us right now, if they care. What a mess!
I'm not entirely sure that you are correct. Having friends in both Munich and Stuttgart, they are more concerned with the attitude of the EU as we hurtle towards Brexit with no replacement trade agreement.

My friends in Germany are amazed we are still intent on brexit. They genuinely wonder why.

Obviously we know different people, but your friends do not sum up all of Gernanys feelings correctly
