I may have bad news for you. Wor lass washed No.1 son's phone in the washing machine last week. Dead as dodo despite all attempts to dry it out. Probably more chance of Sam winning some silver.

  I bet the phone works before we win any silver

My Nokia N73 went in the wash twice, I rescued it the first time from the full cycle but the second time it went through a full 40 degree wash, a few days in the airing cupboard sorted it out though :D

the secret is to take the battery out straight away and don't replace it until the phone is completely dried out.

If you leave it in, you've no chance

wrote mine off chasing the bairn into the sea at new hartley

I doubt it'll work again, I've dropped 3 phones in water, always taken the battery out immediately, dried in airing cupbards for a week, still lifeless.

My nokia 3210 got dripped on by a raindrop once, and it stopped working. I think its a matter of luck.

short spin in the washing machine and an hour in the tumble dryer on low heat :)

I left one of our cordless landline phones outside in the rain for a few days when I found it gave a blast on a hair dryer and it worked ok

You jammy so and so. Looks like the Mags for the treble next season.

I've lost 2 phones riding bikes in the rain.

Dropped a waterproof nokia in a tank once and went back 2 weeks later when the tank was empted for cleaning and picked it up - charged it and it worked fine... had about 6 missed calls and a few messages on it.
