What is the measurement from top of block to top of brick, should be 225mm,and are they following existing brick gauge on main house, you will get variation in beds with that type of brick,ie the arris making beds look bigger. The brickwork itself looks neat enough, there may be a reason for largish beds, may be worth asking them to explain.

When you say following existing brick gauge on main house do you mean by that having the same number of courses of brick on both Main house and extension? Thanks

Yes, is the extension attached to house and are they following existing brick gauge, sometimes it's hard to find an exact sized matching brick, but it could be as simple as they bedded up to match existing brickwork, and it may be ok from now on,just ask them, at least doing that will make them wary about it.

There is render on the Main house (that will eventually be removed)so they can’t see existing brick. Although neighbours flank wall nearby? Extension is attached to main house. Wondered if it would
Be to do with height of extension wall and trying to finish with a particular number of courses ?

If they don't have to follow any existing gauge then the beds are too big, look's like 30mm too high in 3 course.

Would he be bringing it up like this to keep level with the block work?

OK. Maybe hes rushing it as he is fitting in the job for us around other jobs.Working Sat and Sun on it this weekend. Looks neatish though....
