Motorola V3

The other halfs Motorola V3 phone has started playing up - when she sends a text they are never sent. The message status just keeps saying sending in progress.
The phone can receive texts and make calls. Any ideas ???

V3's are useless...and old. is she due an upgrade? try and stick to Nokia, very fast phones with proper hardware.
