Woman was reported for foraging mushrooms. Asked to sign a “non-binding contract” by plod agreeing not to do it again despite the fact she denied doing it to start with.

If someone denies an offence and you have no evidence, you don’t ask them to sign a fake contract. You either come back with evidence or you take no further action.

I think she got off because plod got her husband to sign it. She wasn’t even indoors when plod turned up.

The Magic of Mushrooms

This has just reminded me. Our daughter sent me a couple of mushroom growing kits for Father’s Day. I didn't start them off as they needed a certain temperature, darkness and a bit of fresh air. It was too hot at the time and Mrs Mottie wouldn’t let me grow them under the stairs because of the spores. It’s probably getting to be right time now so I’m going to fit some blackouts to the windows in the garage and start them off there.

Saw a cracker this morning. Look at the size of it!

Of course, Mrs Mottie screamed at me and told me to put it down. She transcribes for some Gastro consultants. Just lately when she has been transcribing for a couple of patients that have liver disease, the consultant has said "No history of foreign travel, no history of drug use, NO HISTORY OF MUSHROOM FORAGING”!

Looks similar to mine, #47 and #48. Good chance it's edible but I daren't risk it.

Thanks, but I only eat them when I’m 200% certain what they are and Mrs Mottie has survived the night after I’ve served her up a plateful of them.
