Hi
I'm just about to replace my old dual fuel range style cooker with a new Neff double oven (6.8kw) and a new induction hob (7.2kw). There is an existing double pole isolator switch and cooker outlet for my old cooker. The existing cable runs from its own 32A MCB in the consumer unit and is a 6mm flat twin and earth.
My questions are:
1. Is the 6mm cable OK or should I replace it with a larger size?
2. The highest rated cooker switch and outlet I can find is for 45A but the combined load of both the hob and oven are around 60A. Do I have to run separate cables to their own isolator switches for both the oven and hob?
3. What would be your recommendations with size of cables, cooker switch units etc.
I would be grateful for any help
