Hi guys would love some help if possible.

I have no electric going to my combi boiler and have no idea what it can be, A engineer has came out and has said the boiler is fine as he powered it up using a battery. The boiler is connected to a fuse spur and then goes off into the wall, im unsure why it has suddenly stopped working.

Unfortunatly i have no tools to test if the fuse spur is live or not is there any way i can do that without electrocuting myself or using a volt/current meter? as i dont have one. No mcbs have tripped and i have replaced the fuse within the spur.
I can provide pics if wanted but some help would be greatly appreciated, i really dont want to get someone out when the problem could be very small!
Thanks for your help
Rob

Try a known working fuse in the f/spur ?

is the boiler on it's on circuit, or is the f/spur of a general circuit ?- and if so does the general circuit function correctly ?

By the time you go out and buy kit to test, I'd suggest you consider a £50 call out to a spark who will be able to diagnose (and hopefully rectify) the issue.

Im unsure weather its on its own circuit due to the fact it goes into the wall :S I have tried several fuses and still no luck. Yea good idea just hoped i could/people on this forum could rectify. thanks

Have you looked inside the FCU to see if any conductors have come loose?
Make sure the power is turned off before doing so.

Did the engineer check to see if the boiler was recieving a 230v supply?

A engineer has came out and has said the boiler is fine as he powered it up using a battery.
That seems highly unlikely, since the boiler will require a 230V supply.
As combination boilers only require a power supply to operate, it was pretty poor of the 'engineer' not to even establish if power was reaching the boiler terminals.

Even if there was no power from the existing wiring, they could have temporarily connected the boiler using a length of 3 core flex and a plug.
