The mother got 8 years, she probably won't even serve half of that.
It wasn't as if she didn't know what was happening, it was systematic torture over a prolonged period of time.
She is as guilty as her partner and should have got the same sentence.
When she gets out of prison she will still be young enough to have kids, maybe she should be sterilised before her release to prevent the same thing happening again.
