I am trying to install 2 recessed mains downlights, using one switch and one junction box.

I am using 1.5mm t&e cable, and 20A junction boxes.

Are either of the following setups acceptable?

Using ceiling roses or parallel connections to the light fittings will be pretty difficult due to the tight space.

thanks in advance for your help

.

yeah both are fine though i'd go for the first one as generally the less joins the better.

rememeber to sleeve those earths with green/yellow sleeving don't leave them bare like your diagrams seem to show.

I will use earth sleevng, I just hadn't put the green lines on top of the yellow ones.

I assume its brown tape/sleeving used now since the change over of colours?

thanks again for advice given!
