We have a accenta /optima alarm. The tamper kept going off. We have removed the wires for the bell box tamper and put a loop in. The alarm seems to be functioning ok but the leds on the bell box are not flashing. So from the outside looks like its not working.
Queation is...can i leave the t and a wires to the bell box in AND loop out the T and a as well?

Are you sure it's the bell box causing the tamper fault ?
Is the global tamper circuit wired in the panel or linked out ?

Not quite sure what u mean by global tamper circuit. Looking at the board there is a tamper for the panic button. A tamper for the sensors. And a tamper for the bell box. The tamper for sensors is looped out so doesnt look like that has been connected.
The t and a removed from the panel are for the bell box.

Is there a tamper link in tamper on left-hand side J5 terminals ?
If all your tamper circuits and bell tamper are linked out then it could be control panel lid cover?
How old is the battery ? Faulty battery could cause tamper fault ?

There is a tamper at j5 but this is for remote keypad. The tamper on this is not linked out.
Battery has never worked in it.
Bell box cover was removed in summer for painting. Was ok for a while.
Think damp or back plate tamper is at fault.
Just need to know if i can connect the t and a wires that i have disconnected and also loop out the tamper. Just want led on bell box to work until weather better then can investigate bell box for tamper spring issues, loose wires and damp issues.

Connect the bell box back onto the pub and put wire link between A & T that will link out tamper for bell box

This has been working fine but now the leds on the bell box have suddenly stopped working. Checked the loop out wiring...all seems ok.
Any other ideas guys????
