ouch... ( graphic pics.. be warned..!!)

hmm, when i've touched hot soldering irons (never caught one but have had one bounce of my hand as it fell) i've always felt the burning.

Not quite as bad as the V slicer (and I have one of them too), but along the lines of the comment about catching a soldering iron when you knock it off your desk...

NEVER, EVER, PICK UP A COPPER PIPE YOU HAVE JUST SOLDERED WITH A BRAZING TORCH, FLUX AND SOLDER!

They are not cold even 12 inches from where you have soldered. I had the blisters for about three weeks. and they were so severe, I had to go to hospital to get them seen by a burn specialist. I was lucky on that occasion.

Mind you, I have done it once or twice since, so lesson not learnt!

I'm unsure what a V slicer is, but a mandolin is equally as deadly.
 
Never shhot yourself in the thumb with a 2nd fix paslode, That hurt and the nail bounced off my bone.
 
And don't fit new shower seals to a swinging shower door and then expect to trim the over size in situ.

The doors move, the knife slips and you end up with
