I would have thought that 2.5mm² cable may be way too big. I'll bet that thing only draws a fraction of an amp.
How you wire it inside the garage depends on what electrics you have in the garage.

You can use lighting 1.5mm cable from a fused switch to the floodlight camera as the led lights only use 9 watts which is less than 1 amp.
Or 1mm² or 0.75mm² flex.
