Outside LEDs

Our outside LEDs are controlled by a timer in the garage. We would just like to be able to turn them on and off remotely using a fob. How easy is this to do? What is the best way of doing it?

Presume your timer is in a 3 pin socket?
If so, a remote control socket should do what you want.

Other, more high tech options available.
I have a light on my Shed that is voice controlled using a £5 wi-fi switch linked to Alexa.

I have heard good things about Quinetic but didn't realise that there was a fob option.
