Owen Smith

I see the argument which is similar to a bomber surely can't be a true christian.

However, conversely:

Are christians who ignore the gory bits of the Bible therefore not Christians?

Is the Pope who is now going to alter the ruling on gays no longer christian?

It would seem to imply that ignoring the nasty bits now makes someone a better christian (or muslim) but can you have it both ways?

Why not reject all of it and just live a good life thinking for yourself after, if you don't have any, ordering some common sense from ebay.

People who live by the doctrines of the Koran have moved to a liberal open-minded cultured country like Sweden and are now in the process of destroying it, while living off the benefits that generous country are giving them out of the goodness of their hearts.

wow, another anti-Muslim post by DRM!

One of a handful of obsessives.

Who could have seen that coming!

Why don't you put that on the side of your bus, it might help you to get over Brexit.

DRM (one of the good guys)

they are only doing what their prophet has instructed them to do in the Koran

But that's the real problem DRM, nothing in the Koran tells them to commit atrocities, and that's why Owen Smith (or any one else for that matter) will never be able to sit down with them, and reach an IRA style peace agreement. ISIS has nothing to do with Islam, and everything to do with power, control, and subversion, and it's only a religious Jihad that the Koran advocates, not a violent one. As the idiot with a knife in the tube station was told "your no Muslim bro".

The problem we've got, is that many Muslims have happily misinterpreted the Koran, and the mainstream are only now starting to condemn the atrocities that ISIS commit. It's the Muslim community leaders that Own Smith needs to sit down with, not ISIS, but unfortunately, there's no such thing as a sensible politician, is there.

The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter.

Now I'll admit to never having read the Koran, as I expect you haven't either, but from the research I'd done on the internet, the bits where it says to kill the infidels etc, are the ones that have been taken out of context, and these the the verses used by ISIS to justify the war they inflict on anyone who doesn't do what they tell them to.

Almost every religion has at some point in it's history claimed that God is on their side, and that they must kill the unbelievers. The Christians did it a 1000 years ago, the Catholics did it with the inquisition, and now it's Islams turn.

It's said that you shouldn't discuss politics or religion, but Owen Smith thinks that he can do both, and win - reality check required.
