Hi,

What is the best item to use for packing studs screwed against the wall?
This is to make it flat.

A stud wall does not need to be packed out, even if it is up against an existing wall, just build it like a normal stud partition, free-standing.

Plastic shims from screwfix come in various sizes and are quite cheap but you can use any off cuts of any type of wood as well
