I was asked by my elderly neighbour to investigate a clunking/wirring noise coming from her understairs cupboard. On investigation I noticed the noise was coming from this :

This controls 6 panel heaters - 3 upstairs (RH Timer) 3 Downstairs (LH timer). All the heaters have their own FCU and are linked directly back to the unit (top left)

The noise seemed to be coming from the clock mechanism which is not surprising as they are over 30 years old. I was wondering if anyone possibly knows where I could find a replacement that performs the same functions as this one.

looks like any timer will do, but i assume there is a contactor, becuse the timers look to small not to have a contactor, hence any timer will do.

what is under the lid?

They look like the guts out of a randall central heating timeclock

Have you tried a squirt of WD40?

Works wonders on noisy sangamo time switches. :D
