Hi all,

I am in the process of planning my garden and I have a bit of an issue which I am not sure how to resolve.

I have 2 air bricks at the back of the house which are about 100mm from ground level (cement floor). I DPC is also not that much higher. (maybe another 20mm).

Is there a way to have a gap between the patio and the walls to avoid having to dig out the cement floor? I was thinking something like a slot drain or splash strip? Is this good practice? I'd really appreciate any other alternatives too which would avoid me having to excavate further (also any other floor types that may be a better fit given the scenario at hand).

Thanks in advance.
