The additional drives are not always infected, depends what you got infected with, are the password protected files on the other drives?
Yes DBAN is a good tool to wipe a drive but NOT an SSD, I'm reading that it either cannot detect it or it can shorten its life.
Also that it's best to use the tools provided by the drive manufacturer.
