Pendant lights and the fitting

At the switch is a three core with the red as a live feed to both commons and the blue and yellow as the switchwires.

This means (as there is only a single T&E at the rose) that there is a JB in the ceiling somewhere where everything is joined up.

You need to find this JB, open it up and post a piccy here.

bear in mind the "JB" could be another ceiling rose - perhaps the other one you mentioned was controlled by the same switch

No matter, I thought there was another blue to the left but it's green so ok.

no its not working yet, on the pendant end the black is live (permanent), the blue is N and the yellow is confirmed as CPC - all confirmed

Im on the hunt for a junction box this afternoon

The photo you posted of the pendent rose has black red and yellow where has blue suddenly appeared from.
