Hello,

RE; "Now that's what you call a ship not a boat!"
Just out of interest, is it true that the difference between a ship and a boat is that you can have a boat aboard a ship, but not a ship aboard a boat ??
Any idea's please ??

If you google it you'll get your answer, but you'll not really be satisfied with it!! my definition is simple,a ship is big, a boat is smaller. and before someone tries to catch me out, I think big fishing boats should be called fishing ships.

ps. they do call them factory ships which I think is not nice.

The only really useful vessels hold from a pint upward.
