Indeed. I would never have guessed that either the conductors or gland were as large as we've being told (to the extent that I was wondering why the person who did it had used a bit of a Henly as a connector). Maybe RF should include a ruler in some of his pics!Surprising how small things look in pics

Thanks - but we no longer have the cables and gland to compare with the ruler. I guess we'll have to do some 'two picture viewing'<piccie with ruler>

Isn't the recommended way of dealing with switchgear containing asbestos flash guards to leave the fuse carriers in place, cut the conductors as close as possible, give it a good soaking of PVA solution and then to remove the equipment as a whole and double bag?....
