I would be happy with electricity for heating, but it's so expensive compared to gas

Would an air source heat pump make it worthwhile?

Another idea, might be a diesel heater, they are cheap to buy, cheap to run, I use one rated 8Kw, to heat my workshop. The size of a shoe box, they suck room air in one end, blow hot air out the other, you just need to keep the tank filled with diesel, or heating oil (kero).

Apologies if I wasn't clear in my OP, but the electricity cabling, water and gas have not been connected as the building process is still in early stages, hence I was trying to decide what to do.
 
Just buy a 100m coil of 15mm speedfit some decent lagging and run 4 lengths (H&C, F&R) in a ducted trench. If you want you use lots of hot water at once fit an unvented cylinder for main house use.
 
Wouldn't PP be better than copper as it will be buried?
Not sure the OP specified it was to be buried, though may be an idea over that distance.

Not sure a domestic gas installer is covered to install buried PE gas pipe though, don't think it falls under GSIUR and the domestic ticket scope, would need to check through.

I'm not bothered whether it's buried or in the open, so long as it's safe, can stand the weather and doesn't look out of place.
 
F&R is Flow and Return for the heating. Burying the pipes underground will help protect against frost.

He said through a garden, so buried seems the obvious choice. Out of sight, and safe from damage, theft etc. (I meant PE, not PP.)
Ahh right, thanks very much for clarifying. Since the pipes would go underground, what sort of insulation would I need to ensure the pipes keep the heat for as long as possible?

Thank you to everyone for your excellent advice. From what I've gathered I'm think that for DHW and CH, I use the existing boiler and for the shower, I just use an electric shower.
 
You need to be very careful about running extra 15mm pipes out that kind of distance to then supply 3 radiators.

I wouldn't ever use or recommend 15mm pipe to feed 3 average sized radiators (what sized are the proposed rads?) in the same house, never mind 19m out and back to an out building. Could cause all sorts of balancing issues in the mains house and in the outbuilding if they would actually heat up properly at all.

So in that case the only choice I have is either get a gas pipe pulled and have a combi boiler or all electric?
