When a plane has a prang such as the undercarriage failing today in the US somewhere, do they repair the plane, asset strip it or just chuck it?

It will depend on the individual plane, age, value, level of damage etc.

These new fangled structural composite bits are going to make the repair process a lot more interesting (if you can tell that they need repairing that is)

  8. Ryan Air would probably charge you extra for it.
