A have always wanted to turn my hand to plastering, but have only had the oppertunity to do very small jobs like sorting out the large cracks in the walls.

A friend of mine who can plaster rather well has said he will teach me, but i will need to "get some trowels and stuff", as he only has his own.....

What tools should i look at getting for starters? I don't really want to spend a hugh amount, but will end up doing all the plaster work in my own two bedroom extension once i have learnt a few skills and got a bit of confidence.

Yes . As noseall says, a top quality trowel, the rest can be cheapies, hawk, buckets, whisk, drill, table for spot, etc. Good Luck

Cheers, I've gone for a Ragni finishing trowel in the end. I'll look at getting a better trowel later (assumming i don't end up throwing it all in the bin and getting a pro in! )

Will let you know how we get on!
