Hi all,
I have a plastic oil tank with the standard short outlet , I think its a 1inch female thread . Anyhow, the atkinson tm. Won't fit that so I have the adapter tube.
Question,
Can I unscrew the metal coupler out from the tank and screw in my new adapter in its place ?
Then the atkinson tm will fit straight on.
I am not sure if the original coupler outlet is sealed into the tank hence making it unremovable.
Thanks for any advice.

Much better to use an Ultra Compact tank valve if you've got the opportunity to do so - they're much safer than the Atkinson valves. The Ultra Compact is a 1" male so should screw straight in unless you've bought some obscure make of tank that doesn't use the normal standard.

And no, you can't unscrew the tank fitting
