Hello All.

This little fella has decided to start leaking.

Please can anyone tell me the name of it and where I possibly can get a replacement?

Many thanks.

A few more photos of what it's connected to and if it's oriented as you have it in your post.

At the moment it looks like a drain valve, but could be a bleed valve if 180°.

Thank you for replying so swiftly.

A couple more images for you.
If you need anymore.....

Thanks,

;)

Thanks for the interest.

Yes, I have, but maybe have another look.

;)

I thought that but it is not. The pipework above is bone dry.

When the hot water is turned on, the water comes out of the side port.

It's a good few years old now.

;)

To DP, yes the whole system has been well looked after, hence the age of the boiler and it is still going very well.

Some of the boilers in my books are twice that age.
Surprised the guy who looks after your boiler did not pick up that problem
Stay safe and look after your family, that tiny leak is not going anywhere.

The leak is just due to age of the plastic. It has only just started leaking and wasn't when he serviced a year ago, therefore would have been picked up at that time if it was.

Good for you you have older boilers on your books. You must be a decent engineer.

I am not an engineer, just someone trying to DIY to save much needed money right now. And so far I have repaired a number of non gas related problems with the boiler....and succeeded.

The alternative brass fitting sounds a cheaper way to fix by myself, just need more info and examples as I am going into the unknown.

Thank you for your valueable info Madrab. :notworthy:

I will look into this as I have a Screwfix 10 minutes away.

I do have some PTFE tape already.

Thank you. ;)

1/2” will not fit, think the valve might have to be 3/8”
As said earlier, leave it alone for the tome being. Lockdown will ease off.

The attached image shows two valves/taps with the leaky one on the left.

The second one on the right, I have used before to drain away the main water to allow me to replace the diaphram, actuator bush, spring kit for the 3 way flow group.

All it appears to do is act like a tap, turn the black gripped dial and the water comes out of the side port.

I have never used this particular valve/tap on the left. So please what is it for?
