The EuroCombi was the illegal workers favorite boiler at one time so they are often very rough installs...10 years ago they were few left.
Easy to work on, plenty of space and pretty robust and only a few simple design faults (on/off button doesn't always reach the pcb switch, reed flow switches leak).

Herts P&D. Yes it was leaking from the 3 way valve for sometime. I had an friend engineer booked in to do it but he fell ill and I was made redundant too, over a period of time it wasn't repaired. But I manage to do it myself a couple of years ago. That is why I said I in an earlier post, I need to go back in there, clean and treat.

Attached is the culprit for additional help as some were unsure of the size to get as a replacement.

Thank you.

I am not hell bent on getting it replaced, just replying swiftly to those who are very kind in helping me try to sort out the problem.

Though the fault is abit annoying as everytime the hotwater is called for, the drip gets worse and has already filled the bowl and spilled over the work surface onto a brand new fitted washing machine I had to replace last week. Again, hence trying to save a few quid.

I am trying to make the most of my free time during this lockdown, as when I am back to work, with two girls on my own, free time is at a premium. So maybe I am hell bent on getting it done as this is on a long list of jobs to do. No doubt, all you do to as well.

I fully appreciate those who are attempting to help, just didn't like some of the retorts about my C/Heating when they don't explain why they are negatively stating what they are.

I write in blue to help me quickly navigate through the correspondance. Always have done it, not only here too!

some suggesting my boiler will need replacing very soon (but won't back it up when asked), ;)

I mentioned the rust and you said the 3 port valve was leaking and you said: "I need to go back in there, clean and treat"

So yes, I did back up what I said and you came back with a reply.

Andy

Have you managed to get one yet?

Thank you Denso13. Not yet as some were questioning the size of thread of an alternative, hence my earlier post showing the size of thread on the leaking part.

I did remove it and thorughly cleaned the area, but it still leaks.

Apologies for you having to wade through nonsense posts made by some.
