Was nearly run down by a maddened 3/4 ton bu@llock once. Ok he can't eat you but he will crush you easily.
There was a German lady a few years back who put her arm into a lion enclosure to pet the nice tabbies and a lioness ripped her whole arm clean off.

Harmless looking cows are known to have trampled people to death, birds have been known to cause injury, and draw blood, (but that's Newcastle on a Friday night for you.. )

Sorry. I think people see these TV programmes, and undermine the risks that the TV production had, as it's 24/7 nature programmes, up close and personal, like the guy that presents The Deadly 60, a kind of top trumps for animals that will kill you, given the chance, and he, like Steve Irwin, handles them, and gets a little close for comfort.

If I came across a grass snake, never mind an adder, in my garden, and I thought it might have bit me, even if it didn't, I'd be screaming blue murder at A&E, that is was an escaped King Cobra...

The power and strenght that some wild animals have is unbelievable, some might look cute and cuddly such as a chimpanzee but they are capable of ripping your arms off, I once saw a documentary about Indian elephants and one elephant got a cob on and absolutely trashed a 7 ton truck, these guys who go out in the wild to make TV programmes have my admiration but no way would I do it.

Because being given the wrong antivenom will work so much better, and has no risks whatsoever..

People keep nasty snakes and spiders as pets, so how would I know what type of snake attacked me? Those pets occasionally escape...

But I know many girls that scream blue murder, at the sight of a spider...jump on furniture, for me that fear is snakes, and evil looking lizards. Take a post tongue in cheek, or the snake, unblinking eyes, and a forked tongue.

A farmer here in Dunsop Bridge, Lancashire needed 17 stitches after he was attacked by an Eagle Owl. If you walk up to Whitendale farm you are in their territory and you will find certain areas of the valley closed off.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that a guy trying to free a seagull trapped in plastic rubbish had his eye completely pecked out, all animals are wild, even domestic cats and dogs.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that a guy trying to free a seagull trapped in plastic rubbish had his eye completely pecked out, all animals are wild, even domestic cats and dogs.

I found a wild bird trapped in fishing line when I was 10 or something, and close up, them birds are BIG...but it was totally caught up, unable to fly, so took it to a local fisherman that lived close, managed to snip off a couple of knots, and it turned into an aggressive bugger, then flew off with half the line still attached, as soon as he could.

Anything, will turn on anyone.

The other week we were down in Devon on a campsite, there were notices all over the site saying do not feed the crows as they can become aggressive, we were able to examine these birds close up and believe me those beaks that they have are fearsome.

I was camping in Devon a few years back, and there was a sign saying do not pet the cows, as it transmits disease. Didn't see a sign for feeding crows though.
