I nearly walked into a swarm once, in a rural pub car park. I was walking in a straight line to the van, when folk in the car park were waving at me to stop. The swarm was not immediately visible, and I was walking straight toward it. I got the gist eventually. A local beekeeper turned up and took them home.
I’ve actually encountered a few swarming bees.

We had a swarm over the allotment last week. 2 plot holders have hives on their plots but it wasn’t theirs. They just left them and they were gone by the following day.
